The universal charging station TECHNIVOLT 101 offers maximum ease of use when charging electric cars or plug-in hybrids at home thanks to a permanently installed charging cable. Compared to a power socket, it significantly reduces charging time and thus ensures fast, safe and efficient charging even at home. The TECHNIVOLT 101 has a number of convenience functions, such as access protection and the release of charging processes by RFID. A major advantage is the safety function that interrupts charging if there are power disturbances. An interface for the connection of an intelligent energy meter (MID) for dynamic power optimisation within the house connection or a potential-free switching contact for external control of the charging processes are integrated as standard. The TECHNIVOLT 101 is eligible for funding through the KFW programme 440.
Type 2 charging plugThe TECHNIVOLT 101 has a type 2 charging cable permanently integrated into the charging station. This allows the vast majority of e-cars in Europe to be charged, as the type 2 plug is now the European standard.
Funding opportunitiesThe TECHNIVOLT 101 is eligible for funding through various programmes in Germany and especially in North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as through a funding campaign in Austria.
Only reportableWith the 11 kW TECHNIVOLT charging station, registration with the energy supplier is sufficient in accordance with VDE guidelines. Unlike charging stations with a higher charging capacity, such as wallboxes with 22 kW, a permit is not required.
Fixed integrated charging cableThe TECHNIVOLT 101 has a permanently installed, 5 m long type 2 charging cable. This is very practical as you do not need to connect a separate charging cable to start the charging process. If you only have a portable charging cable, this can conveniently remain in the boot and does not need to be unpacked and packed. The cable permanently installed on the wallbox is simply hooked back up to the charging station after the charging process. Regardless of whether it has been caught in the rain or dirt.
Fixed integrated charging cableThe TECHNIVOLT 101 makes fast and safe charging at home possible. In contrast, charging at a conventional socket is not only associated with significantly longer charging times, but also with a high safety risk. Furthermore, having your own wallbox at home offers you another big advantage over public charging stations: You can decide yourself on the electricity provider and thus on the electricity price for charging your e-car.The installation options for the TECHNIVOLT 101 are as numerous as its advantages. It can be installed under the carport, in the garage or underground car park and even in the driveway - in other words, wherever you usually park your electric car. For those who do not want to or are not allowed to damage the structure of a wall (third-party property), installation on a pedestal with the TECHNIVOLT 101 is also possible.
Fast charging with 11 kWWith the charging power of 11kW, you can also charge an electric vehicle with a larger battery capacity quickly and effectively. Use the simplified charging calculator to see how long it takes the TECHNIVOLT 101 to fully charge your vehicle from 0 to 100. The times determined are theoretical, maximum charging times. The common recommendation is to charge an e-car with a remaining battery capacity of approx. 20% up to approx. 80% of the total battery capacity.
Protected by RFID cardIf the e-charging station is freely accessible in the driveway or carport, access protection is useful to prevent unauthorised persons from charging. You can use several hundred RFID cards on the TECHNIVOLT 101. Two RFID cards are already included in the scope of delivery to enable convenient and secure charging only after prior authorisation. You can learn any other RFID cards at any time.
Lower installation costs due to integrated DC fault current detectionNow it gets very technical, but also important! The TECHNIVOLT 101 already has integrated electronic detection of smooth DC residual currents in the range of IΔn ≥ 6 mA, as prescribed by DIN EN 61851-1 for electric vehicles. It ensures that the vehicle's power supply is disconnected in the event of a DC fault current greater than 6 mA. This means for the electrician who connects the wallbox: He only needs a type A residual current circuit breaker, which is significantly cheaper than a type B switch.
Protected against wind and weatherThe flexible use of the TECHNIVOLT 101 is due not least to the nature of its housing. Since it is suitable for outdoor installation, this wallbox is well and securely encapsulated from the outside. However, a wallbox is also exposed to other external influences, not just pure rainwater. Dust or even unauthorised handling can also reduce the charging performance or damage the wallbox. That is why the TECHNIVOLT 101 has an IP54 protection class. This means that it is well protected against dust, unwanted contact and splash water. This protection class is particularly important, as otherwise better weather protection must be provided, which in turn causes additional costs. With the TECHNIVOLT 101, weather protection is included.
The installation? Only from a professional! The wallbox may only be connected by a professional electrician or the electricity grid operator. It is particularly important to keep an eye on the total electrical output of the connection. Some house connections allow a total output of up to 43 kW - charging with the 11 kW wallbox is usually possible here without any problems. Often, however, a house connection only provides approx. 22 kW total power. If other consumers, especially large consumers, are active in the household in addition to the charging station, charging an electric car with a permanent 11 kW charging power becomes difficult.
